Transparency Report
BAM exists to earn your trust before it earns your business. This page explains exactly how we make money, how Haven AI scores agents, how your data is protected, how every charity donation is disbursed, and how we verify every agent's California DRE license. No fine print. No vague language. Everything is here.

1. How BAM Makes Money
BAM earns a 25% referral fee from the agent's commission — and only when a transaction closes in escrow. Sellers pay $0 to BAM at any point. BAM is completely free for sellers and buyers.
Example — $1M home sale
- Agent earns $25,000 commission (2.5%)
- BAM earns $6,250 (25% of agent's commission)
- Seller pays $0 to BAM — ever
No subscription. No monthly fee. No listing fee.
BAM earns nothing unless your home closes. If the deal falls apart, BAM gets paid nothing. That is what aligning incentives actually means.
The 25% referral fee is the lowest in the market.
Zillow charges agents 35–40%. HomeLight charges 33%. BAM charges 25% — and discloses it to every seller and agent upfront.
No auction. No pay-to-play.
Agents cannot pay BAM to rank higher in match results. Haven AI scoring is purely data-driven. A higher referral fee offer buys nothing.
2. How Haven AI Works
Haven AI is a multi-dimensional scoring system — not a language model and not a search algorithm. It scores every verified agent in a given market against 20 measurable data dimensions, then weights those dimensions based on the seller's specific situation. The result is a single 0–100 composite score called the Haven AI Score.
No paid placement exists. Agents cannot pay to rank higher. Score is purely performance-based and updated monthly as new transaction data arrives.
All 20 scoring dimensions
What Haven AI cannot do: Haven AI does not have access to off-market data, private MLS fields, or any data not included in public transaction records and our verified agent onboarding forms. It does not guess. It does not favor agents based on tenure in the network or commercial factors.
3. How the Charity Donation Works
At every closing, BAM donates 10% of its referral fee to a charity of the seller's choice. This is not a marketing promise — it is a contractual commitment disbursed automatically at closing.
Example — $1M home sale
- BAM earns $6,250 referral fee
- BAM donates $625 (10%) to the seller's chosen charity
- Seller chooses the charity during their Match Profile setup
Disbursement via Tremendous
Charity donations are processed through Tremendous — a digital disbursement platform that sends verified wire transfers or digital gift cards directly to the charity.
Charities available
Alzheimer's Association, UNICEF USA, Feeding America, American Red Cross, Children's Hospital LA, St. Jude Children's Research, Habitat for Humanity, and more. The seller selects from this list in their Match Profile.
When the seller chooses
The seller selects their charity when completing their Match Profile — before the agent is matched. The choice is locked in and cannot be changed after the match is made.
4. What Happens to Your Data
BAM collects the minimum information necessary to generate your match. Here is exactly what happens to that information.
Your rights under CCPA
BAM complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You have the right to know what data we hold, request its deletion, and opt out of any data sale (we do not sell data, but the right exists).
To request deletion of your data, email hello@bestagentsmatch.com with the subject line "Delete my data". We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
5. DRE Verification
Every agent in the BAM network must hold an active California Department of Real Estate (DRE) license. BAM verifies this before any agent is activated — and monitors it on an ongoing basis.
What BAM checks at onboarding
Active license status, no disciplinary actions or formal accusations, correct name and brokerage match against DRE records.
Ongoing monitoring
Agents are deactivated immediately if a DRE complaint is filed against them. BAM checks DRE records monthly for all active agents in the network.
DRE complaint history is a scored dimension
Haven AI includes DRE complaint history as Dimension 08 in its scoring. Any agent with a formal complaint receives a significant score penalty.
You can verify any agent yourself
The California DRE license lookup is publicly accessible. We encourage every seller to verify their matched agent independently.
Verify any California DRE license
California DRE license lookup (public tool):
https://www2.dre.ca.gov/PublicASP/pplinfo.aspBAM's own DRE information: Pending Oren's broker setup — will be displayed in the footer of every page once licensed. BAM operates in compliance with California DRE regulations.
